Numerous international students choose the University of Avignon every year. They are either exchange or degree-seeking students. Some of them are enrolled in French courses at the French language centre (CUEFA).
Most of the programmes offered in Avignon enable local students to do study periods in partner institutions or placements abroad.
The university also welcomes guest researchers regularly, and is involved in a number of international research cooperations, such as the international PhD programme in museology.
The University of Avignon is a member of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), which is a global network of more than 650 institutions, the CampusFrance network, and the University Network of the European Capitals of Culture (UNeECC), as well as of the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI). Our institution has been awarded the 2007-2013 ERASMUS University Charter by the European Commission.
Our French language centre (CUEFA) holds the Label Qualite FLE quality certification.
